I love the many different elements that go into making a hotel/brand hum. At Boomerang Hotels we do things differently and we are proud of it. Our franchise isn’t meant for everyone, we are not setting out to please a certain subset of the industry, nor are we endeavoring to piss them off either.
It just is what it is, from us, we are who we are, the good, the bad and the ugly (refer to my mug shot).
Some of the information contained within may be applicable to current franchisee issues, where we see the industry headed and some of it you may deem absolutely useless.
However, I think it is important for those of you contemplating joining our franchise to get a feel for who we are and where we stand on key issues.
We are not the big boys and for that we are thankful. Don’t get me wrong, myself and all of our employees stay in the large brand hotels, they fill a need and quite frankly, they are nice, we like them. But we don’t pretend to be like them and nor do we want to be. We are just different, nothing wrong with that.
What do we mean? When I had a colonoscopy recently I realized two things……I need to eat less red meat and second that my approach to franchising is spot on. I don’t like receiving that sort of treatment, nor would I like to be the guy dishing it out. Friendly. Franchising.
